Kanban Read Points
Devices used with the Kanban Inventory Management feature are called Kanban Read Points. Much like standard Terso Devices, Kanban Read Points come in a wide variety of shapes, sizes, and feature sets and have the ability to report the presence and movement of RFID-tagged items. The main difference between Kanban Read Points and standard Terso devices is the workflow of RFID-tagged items. For standard devices, an item is considered to be "In Stock" if it is being read by a device. On the other hand, when a Kanban Read Point reads an RFID tag, that tag is then considered to be "Out of Stock". See Kanban Inventory Management for more information on the feature.

Kanban Read Points are viewed and managed on the Kanban Read Points page, available from the side menu under Devices.
Users with the "Device and Location Management" role will be able to see all read points. Users without this role will only see the read points that are at locations assigned to them in their user record.
To view a Kanban Read Point's details, click the name of the read point. The details page includes the following information for that read point:
- Read Point Name* - The unique name of the read point.
- Read Point Serial Number* - The unique designated serial number of the read point.
- Device Definition* - The read point's model, hardware region, and major firmware version for Terso device and read points. This information is necessary for Stratosphere to know how to communicate with the read point.
- Region* - The general region of the world where the read point is installed. This value cannot be edited. To change a region, delete and re-add the read point.
- Location* - The Stratosphere location where this read point is located.
