TS079 Heated vent port There is an electrically-heated vent port in the freezer which must not be allowed to become blocked or sealed off. Over a period of a few weeks, depending on how often the freezer is being used, a small mushroom of ice will form around the end of the vent port. If the vent port is allowed to become blocked, a vacuum will be created when the door is closed. It will not be possible to open the door until the vacuum has leaked away through the seal, which can take up to two hours due to the high quality of the seals.
