1.)           Check all cable connections

2.)           If you could power off the device with the main power switch on the back of the back of the electronics enclosure. (Please make sure the unit has not been accessed or opened for 5 to 10 minutes when resetting)

3.)           Press in the Reset switch (Pin hole on the back of the device) for about 5 seconds. To verify the reset has worked as intended, the LCD screen on the front of the device which normally says “Welcome,  Place pass below” should be dark, if the screen is still on the reset did not take, please press the reset switch again and ensure the screen goes dark.

4.)    Then power on the device with the main power switch in the back.

5.)    The LCD Screen which normally indicates “Welcome, Place Pass Below” will turn back on and go through a sequence of messages:

                “Please Wait, System Booting”
                “Please Wait, System Scanning”
                “Welcome, Place Pass Below”

6.) Once the device has returned to “Welcome, Place Pass Below” on the screen, it should be back in working order.
