Application Events

4min

The Application Events page presents a view of all events from the last 30 days for your devices for your selected Jetstream application. Upon navigation to the page, the table will load with the last 24 hours of events from the Terso devices in your Jetstream application if you have access to only one application. If you have access to more than one application, select one from a list of your permitted Jetstream applications to load the last 24 hours of events for that application. This table enables searching, sorting, printing, and Excel and PDF exports. By default the table is sorted in descending order by Received Time and includes the following columns:

  • Device Name - The name of the device.
  • Event Type - The name of the event type documented in the row. See the Event Types Guide for more information on event types.
  • Event Message - Provides additional event details, such as the temperature for a sensor reading event, the number of tags seen by an object event, and read exceptions.
  • Received Time - The time that the event was received, as timestamped by Jetstream.

  1. Application selector - Select the Jetstream application from your list of permitted applications for which to display events.
  2. Date Range Selector - This is a date range setting to filter the events based on received time. The default date range is from yesterday to today. You can select any date range within the last 30 days.
  3. View Events - Load the data table for the selected Jetstream application and date range.
  4. Table Options - This button allows you to show additional columns Event GUID and Generated Time in the table.
  5. Print - Uses the browser print functionality to print the table with any filtering you have applied.
  6. Excel - Downloads the device events table as a .xlsx file with any filtering you have applied.
  7. PDF - Downloads the device events table as a .pdf file with any filtering you have applied.
  8. Sortable Columns - The report can be sorted by the Received Time column in ascending or descending order.
  9. Column Filters - Columns with a filter button can be filtered to include only values matching one or more selected values. Click the filter button to see the available filter values for the column.
  10. Searchable Columns - Columns containing a search bar instantly run a "contains" search for your search term on all data in the column (for all pages) as you type, filtering down to only rows containing your term. "Contains" means the entered string will be found wherever it is located, not just when the searched term is at the beginning of the field.
  11. Device Name - Click the Device Name to go to the Device Details page.
  12. Event Type - Click on the Event Type name to open a modal with the Event JSON.
  13. Rows per page - This value defaults to the setting in your profile, but can be changed ad-hoc using this dropdown selector.
  14. Pages - Allows navigating between different pages of the report. The currently viewed page will be highlighted, and the first, previous, next, and last pages will be available as options. If the number of pages is more than can be displayed, an ellipses will appear indicating there are additional pages that cannot be directly navigated to. Whenever possible, try using the search bar or column sort to find what you are looking for rather than paging through the report. Increasing the entries per page will help reduce the number of pages.
  15. Showing Entries - Displays which entries are currently being shown on the page, out of the total number of entries.
